The disgusting and heinous decision to rush through the $700 Billion Bailout Bill today and undermine the U.S. Dollar, by the Democratic Congressional leadership, will go down as one of the great economic crimes in American history. Tomorrow may well be known as “Black Monday” in the history books of the future — the day when Jeffersonian America abandoned the Free Enterprise system for good, and sank into the swamp of Central Bank Collectivism. The effect of this new massive tranche of inflation will be to undermine the Dollar in the long run, and inflate the currency so that the average pensioner will lose between 20%-50% of their purchasing power over the next two or three years, in Silverwolf’s opinion. But he may be drastically underestimating the inflationary impact of adding 20% to the national debt when we were virtually bankrupt before we added it. It will probably be far greater in reality.
One should note that the most avid advocates of this vast giveaway to the rich and the banking industry are the Liberal Democrats in Congress, along with the Administration, because they both have vast connections and personal investments in these banks. They are the ones most vigorously agreeing with the alarmists that somehow the world will come to an end if this transfer of wealth is not done hastily and instantly, and Obama is right in front of the Cheerleaders. But over a hundred major-university economists, according to Senator Richard Shelby, think this plan is a disaster, or not even necessary, so why are Congressmen Frank and Senator Schumer lining up with the banking interests to weaken the poor even further by inflating a currency which has lost drastically its purchasing power over the last few years? On the Congressional salaries they get, of course, and with their gold-plated health insurance plans, and a fat pension when they finally drop out, the Democrats in Congress could care less about the impact of their inflationary profligacy on the pensioners, the savers, and the poor of America.
The only force standing up to these modern Democrat Robin-Hoods-in-Reverse, who steal from the poor to give to the rich, is Congressman Ron Paul of Texas, the only man in the Congress to accurately describe and vigorously speak out against what is currently happening, years and months ago. And now he is telling us that this Bailout, following the hundreds of billions already thrown uselessly at the problem, is just a temporary band-aid that will further exacerbate the seriousness of the disease in the long run. And the Congressman, as usual, is right.
Remember, oh poor and pensioned America, the names of the Democrats who vote for this Bill, and write them down. When your pensions are devastated, and the hunger in your bellies is being anodyned with earnest words from Senator Dodd, or Senator Obama, or Senator Schumer, or Congressman Frank, please recall the names of those who voted for this Bailout Bill and destroyed your pensions so that their wealthy friends on Wall Street, and the vast Union and Government Worker Pension schemes, that suck off the profits of these mega-financial corporations they are printing money for, could all continue to live effortlessly off this gravy train. Since you voted for them and championed the Democrats, recall too the coming generations of children who will have to slave to pay off the debt that you have enthousiastically helped create today by backing your Democratic Leadership. And perhaps you will recall too the millions of straight arrow Americans who foolishly worked hard and saved, and played by the system, only to see you destroy the purchasing power of the savings it took decades of blood, sweat, and tears to accumulate, in one day. But I doubt you will think about them, only about the purchasing power of your own pension, as you now see its value erode ever faster.
Ron Paul was and is your best friend in Congress. Democrats and All-America, you will pay a very high price for not voting for him for President, and for backing this unnecessary, deeply immoral, and Communistic Bailout Bill.
