Silverwolf Loses His Election Bid: Hard Cheese

November 6, 2014

I lost my bid at elected office in the Land of Jefferson. Too bad. Hard cheese. I garnered 21,903 votes, and got a lot of the Libertarian platform and ideas I’ve been blogging about for the last seven years on this site into the public arena. My efforts ¬†certainly didn’t seem to precipitate an earthquake or tsunami in American politics; not even an aftershock or Malibu breaker. But they did fulfill that perceived responsibility in myself to lay myself before the public in a manner probably more efficacious than this blog has been in effecting a radical revolution in America’s, and the World’s, political consciousness. In that, it has assuaged this nagging guilt at not precipitating myself at least once into the political arena. To have the right ideas and keep silent is a sin.

So, although I’ve lost my bid at elected office, and my electoral percentage of 1.8% is nothing to shout about, I have at least fulfilled that responsibility I felt for putting my views before the public.

Now it’s back to reality.
